The CIMCO Scholarship Committee receives and reviews applications submitted by members, and awards the scholarships based on the guidelines in the Bylaws & Standing Rules.

The CIMCO Ilion Wait Crabel Memorial Scholarship is awarded for the annual Municipal Clerks of Illinois Institute & Academy seminar.

Central Illinois Municipal Clerks Organization Ilion Wait Crabel Memorial Scholarship
The Central Illinois Municipal Clerks Organization (CIMCO) is accepting applications for the 2026 Ilion Wait Crabel Memorial Scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded to assist clerks attending the 2026 Municipal Clerks of Illinois (MCI) Institute and Academy, which will be held October 5–9, 2026, in Bloomington, Illinois.
Each scholarship includes early registration and, if funds are available, up to $500 in hotel reimbursement. Priority will be given to applicants attending their first year of Institute, followed by second-year Institute, third-year Institute, and then Academy participants.
Completed applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2026. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the Scholarship Committee and announced by email and at the August CIMCO meeting.
